Dr Gav is an acknowledged business leader and specialist in the field of human based risk management and the psychology of risk. He is the creator of the Presilience® approach (recognised in the prestigious AFR Most Innovative Awards in 2021). He is a serial entrepreneur and has been running his own businesses since 2001. He has conducted business in over 17 countries and provided a wide range of services for a very diverse client base, ranging from heads of state, to school teachers. He is a leading academic and subject matter expert in his field and is a much-sought after International speaker. In Addition to being the RMIA’s Risk Leader of the year in 2023, Risk Consultant of the Year in 2019, Dr Gav is the only Australian to make the IFSEC Global influencers top 20 thought Leaders list for the last 4 years in a row.

With over 20 years of experience in sales, business development, and executive leadership, I am passionate about making a meaningful difference in the environment in which I operate. As the General Manager of Cyber and Tech at Risk 2 Solution Group, I lead a team of experts in delivering integrated risk solutions to clients across various industries and sectors. I am also the Group Head of Solutions Integration at Risk 2 Solution and the General Manager of Cyber-Tech Institute of Australia, a leading provider of cyber security education and training. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa and two certifications from Axio, a global leader in cyber risk quantification. My core competencies include process improvement, new business development, key account management, and solutions integration. I believe that business is conducted between people who care, listen, and understand each other, and that is how I approach every project and partnership.
